Israel's struggle to survive
Israel is a light in a region full of darkness. I strongly believe that the Arab and Muslim countries [especially Iran except that Iran isn't an Arab country] are backward totalitarian hell holes. Israel seeks peace; but has been forced to fight for its existence.
What is Islam?
I believe that Islam seriously needs reform. History is far more complex than the evil west verses the innocent Muslims. The Crusades have been portrayed as part of an imperialist onslaught launched by the west; although the Jihads are no better. Many people dismiss Islamo-Fascist atrocities with the line "Islam is a religion of peace". Even though its true that Islam does have some peaceful interpretations, for Islam to be a religion of peace, it needs to reform. Just as the Christian west acknowledges [and sometimes exaggerates] its past atrocities, it's time for the Arab and Muslim world to do the same.
My Take on freedom of religion for Muslims and former Muslims
Much has been done to appease Islam. For example, Islam has been promoted in public places, which is a violation of the Constitution. After 9/11, much has been said about the well-being of Muslim women who choose to wear the veil. I believe in freedom of religion for everyone including Muslims. So I believe that Muslims should be free to practice their religion peacefully. I believe that Muslim women should have the right to wear the Hijab out of their own free will. But I also believe that freedom of religion [or the freedom to hold no religion] should extend to former Muslims. Just as Muslims should be free to practice Islam, people should also be free to leave Islam. I strongly abhor all attempts to threaten former Muslims. All of those threats clearly contradict the basic spirit of the US Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of rights and the founding fathers' vision for our great nation [America]. It's time to have a crackdown on this. Just as Muslims, like anyone else, should be free to practice their religion peacefully, that doesn't mean wanting to bring Sharia law or forcing the US Government to disproportionately promote Islam. And just as Muslim women should be free to wear the Hijab if they want to, women shouldn't be forced to wear the hijab against their own will; as what Islamo-Fascists seek to do and as what Islamo-Fascist regimes including the ones in Iran and Saudi Arabia do.
The Arabs and Muslims who I support
All my readers should know that I don't consider all Muslims to be terrorists. There are plenty of peaceful Muslims who practice peaceful non-terroristic interpretations of Islam. In fact, plenty of Muslims and Arabs risk their lives to bring human rights, tolerance, freedom and peace to the Arab and Muslim world. They are in the forefront in promoting peace with Israel and with the rest of the non-Muslim world. They look up to the free world and should not be abandoned by the free world. For example, though most Iranians are Muslim, most Iranians have craved democracy and sought to get rid of their oppressive regime. Iranians are out in the streets to bring democratic change to their country. The courageous Arabs and Muslims who sought to have democratic change are not exempt from the charges by both Islamo-Fascists and the politically correct Islam apologist left that they're bigots, racists, Islamophobes and/or make sweeping generalizations of Arabs and/or Muslims. In fact, they even get accused of being traitors and sell outs by Islamo-Fascists and the politically correct Islam apologist left.
The charge of being a bigot, racist, Islamophobe and/or of making sweeping generalizations of Arabs and/or Muslims is a trumped up charge by Islamo-Fascists and the politically correct Islam apologist left that is made toward anyone, who seeks to expose Islamo-Fascism, who seek to defend democracy and freedom from that cancer, and/or, who seeks to bring democratic reforms to the Arab and Muslim world.
